To increase water security for farmers and to help protect the environment, Arrow is constructing a beneficial water network that will return treated water used in the natural gas production process to Western Downs landholders.

Farmers who have joined our Condamine Alluvium Substitution Scheme will exchange their alluvium water allocation for treated water.

The scheme will mean a reliable supply of quality water to support farming operations, and benefits for the environment with farmers in the scheme to stop pumping water from the alluvium.

The first stage of the water network is due to be completed in 2025. When complete, the equivalent of 2,800 Olympic-sized swimming pools of water will be returned to farmers each year!
